Do you shoot on film or
digital?
We shoot mainly digital but can shoot film by
request. Digital provides more flexibility and is
now extremely high quality but if you really like
film please ask.
Can we keep the negatives?
Some packages include the 'digital negatives'
(hi-res files). Otherwise they are available
at additional cost., we charge extra to supply the
‘digital negatives’.
Can I make an appointment to see more of your
work and talk to you about our wedding photography?
Certainly. You can contact us by email, or phone
on (02) 4998 1526.
When is the studio open?
We are open most days and are available by
appointment most evenings and weekends but please
call first to allow enough time for us to show you
samples of our work and albums and discuss your
requirements in detail.
How much does it cost?
For some examples of our pricing please see our
packages. If none of these suit please contact us
with your requirements so we can tailor a package
especially for you. We are sure you’ll find our
prices substantially better value than many of our
competitors and you can be sure our quality and
professionalism are second to none.
Can I print directly from the DVD?
If your package includes 'digital negatives' you can
print them out. If your package only includes proofs
the files on the CD or DVD will display well on
computer but are not recommended to be printed.
Who will be the photographer that turns up on
the day?
Unlike some studios, John Harrison, personally
shoots every wedding so you know exactly what you
are getting. His style is friendly and unobtrusive
to quietly get the job done with a minimum of
disruption
Do you shoot in traditional or
photo-journalistic style?
In a word, both! We try to capture a complete
story of your day by including many candid shots.
Although many couples often tell us they don’t like
posed or formal shots, they are always glad we took
some especially for the parents and other family
members.
Do you shoot black+white and colour?
Yes, Capturing the mood and feel of the day is
often achieved through the use of black+white,
colour and cross-processed colour imagery. The
mixture of these styles is entirely up to you. We
capture all the images on the day in colour and then
we process the images into Black and white, sepia
and cross processed colour.
How much time do you recommend “on location”
for the portraits between the ceremony and
reception?
See the article on timing your wedding. This
will help you plan your day.
Do you do enlargements and display prints?
Definitely. We can produce stunning prints in
different media including canvas up to poster size
and custom frame them in our own framing studio If
you like we can tailor a complete package to include
some framed prints.
Do we select the photographs that go into our
album?
Definitely. We find the best way is for you to take
the proofs home (usually on disc) and shortlist your
favourite shots. We then provide an initial
design which can be changed as much or little as you
wish. Ultimately it is your album, we will
provide design advice, but it is entirely up to you
as to what images you choose and how involved you
would like to be.
Do we have a choice of album styles?
Yes. There are so many choices but we can help
you decide on a beautiful album you will treasure.
What are your payment terms?
We take a reservation fee of $300 to secure the
day for you. You can do this by direct deposit or by cheque, visa, mastercard or eftpos. Final payment is
due 2 weeks prior to the day.
